Pottsville has qualified for the 2007 Eastern Conference Class III Playoffs as the third seed.

The EC Class III is split into three divisions (Northern, Southern, Central) with each division getting one representative. The second-place team with the highest point total is then also invited as a "wild-card" entry to complete the four team bracket.

However, a division which does not have any team with a winning record is not guranteed a berth. This situation presented itself this year, as the EC III Central Division did not have a team with a winning record (after all district qualifiers were selected).

As such, two "wild-card" teams were needed to fill out the four team bracket. The teams were seeded as follows:

#1 seed (division winner w/ highest point total): Twin Valley (EC III South - District 3, 6-4, 680 points) #2 seed (division winner w/ second highest point total): Wilkes-Barre Coughlin (EC III North - District 2, 5-5, 600 points) #3 seed ("wild-card 1", 2nd place w/ highest point total): Pottsville (EC III South - District 11, 5-5, 670 points) #4 seed ("wild-card 2", 2nd place w/ second highest point total): Tunkhannock (EC III North - District 2, 5-5, 580 points)
